Clark County Jail Roster
The main Clark County jail roster is the CCDC in-custody search, an official public tool for people held at the Clark County Detention Center. CCDC is operated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department through the Detention Services Division. It is the default place to check after an LVMPD arrest, a county felony booking, a county warrant arrest, or a local custody transfer into the downtown jail.
The roster is not an all-arrests database. It does not cover every city jail inmate in Henderson, North Las Vegas, or the City of Las Vegas, and it does not replace the Nevada Department of Corrections offender search after a person is sentenced to state prison. It also does not stand in for federal BOP, ICE, or court records. For the custody side of a current CCDC case, though, it is the official starting point.
The Clark County Detention Center page links the roster along with jail service pages for visitation, mail, funds, phone calls, property, bail, and inmate records. Those official pages matter because roster entries can lag a recent booking or disappear after release.
Use the Clark County Roster
A Clark County inmate lookup works best when the search starts broad and then narrows. The public portal may require acceptance of the disclaimer before the person-search form appears. A new booking may not be visible until intake, identity checks, medical screening, fingerprinting, photo processing, charge entry, and classification steps have moved far enough for public display.
- Open the official CCDC in-custody search and accept the roster disclaimer if prompted.
- Enter the last name first. Add the first name only if the surname returns too many matches.
- Try spelling variants, shorter first-name entries, or known identifiers if a match does not appear.
- Open the profile and compare the name, booking details, charges, bond field, and housing or custody status.
- If there is still no match, call CCDC at 702-671-3900 or check the correct city, state, federal, ICE, or VINELink channel.
The official Clark County current inmate search entry page shows the route into the public CCDC search.
The search entry page is useful when a direct person-search URL changes or when the disclaimer screen must be accepted first.
Clark County Search Fields
The roster form is simple by design. It is strongest for current custody searches by name. If the person was just arrested, wait and search again, since intake and public posting are separate steps.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last Name | Text | Generally required | Use the surname first; try exact spelling and variants. |
| First Name | Text | Optional narrowing field | Helpful for common last names but can hide a match if the booking name differs. |
| ID or person identifier | Text where exposed | Not posted as a universal requirement | Use only when known from a result, record, or agency notice. |
| Search | Button | n/a | Runs the current-custody query. |
| Reset or clear | Button if visible | n/a | Clears entered fields for a new search. |
Clark County Inmate Profile Fields
A public CCDC profile is a custody record, not the final court file. The field list can vary by release status, case posture, and redaction rules. Use the profile to confirm that the person is in Clark County jail custody, then use the court portals to follow filed charges and hearings.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The public booking name, usually with last, first, and middle information where available. |
| Booking or identifier number | A jail booking or person number used to distinguish people with similar names. |
| Custody status | Whether the person is currently in CCDC custody; released people may drop out of the current search. |
| Booking date and time | The intake time if displayed on the public profile. |
| Housing or location | The jail housing area or facility location if public. |
| Charges | Arrest or booking charges, which may differ from charges later filed by the prosecutor. |
| Bond or bail | Bond amount, no-bond status, holds, or release conditions if the system displays them. |
| Mugshot or image | A booking image may appear on some public custody records, subject to system display and release rules. |
For charge changes after booking, use the court case pages. The court record, not the jail profile, shows whether a count was amended, reduced, dismissed, or resolved by plea or verdict.
Clark County Jail vs Prison
Many failed Clark County inmate searches happen because the person is in the wrong custody system. CCDC is for local custody, including adult pretrial detainees, sentenced misdemeanants, contract or hold detainees, and people awaiting transfer. NDOC is for sentenced Nevada prisoners. Federal and immigration custody use separate federal tools.
| Custody | Where to Look | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| Current CCDC custody | CCDC in-custody search | Recent arrests, pretrial county jail custody, local sentences, county holds. |
| City detention | Henderson, North Las Vegas, or City of Las Vegas detention channels | Municipal arrests, city warrants, misdemeanor city cases. |
| Sentenced Nevada prison | NDOC offender search | State prisoners at High Desert, Southern Desert, Florence McClure, Casa Grande, or another NDOC facility. |
| Federal sentence | BOP inmate locator | Sentenced federal prisoners and many released federal prisoners after 1982. |
| Immigration detention | ICE Online Detainee Locator System | ICE detainees, including possible Henderson contract custody. |
| Notifications | Nevada VINELink | Custody status alerts where the agency participates. |
Clark County Custody Facilities
Clark County has a layered custody map. A person arrested on the Strip may route to CCDC. A Henderson municipal arrest may stay in Henderson. A sentenced felon may move to Indian Springs or another NDOC prison. The facility name is often the key fact that tells you which lookup system to use.

Clark County Booking Timeline
Booking begins after an arrest, warrant pickup, court remand, or transfer. The intake path can include identity checks, warrant checks, property inventory, medical and mental-health screening, fingerprints, a booking photograph, charge entry, classification, housing assignment, and phone access under facility rules. A person may be physically inside the jail before the public roster is ready.
Booking charges are not always the final charges. Police or the arresting agency book a person on suspected offenses. The Clark County District Attorney later reviews felony and gross misdemeanor cases and files, changes, or declines charges in court. For that reason, a roster entry and a court docket can differ without either one being an error.
- Booking
- Jail intake after arrest.
- Hold
- A separate court or agency reason that can block release.
- Detainer
- A request from another agency, often another jurisdiction or ICE.
- Classification
- The jail review used to assign housing and security level.
Clark County Visitation Rules
CCDC publishes a dedicated visitation page. Use it before planning a visit because scheduling rules, eligibility, identification, dress, and security screening can change. Adult visitors should expect to show government photo identification and follow jail rules for minors, clothing, contraband, and denied visits.
The official visitation page is the source for scheduling details and visitor restrictions.
Visitation is separate from court hearings, attorney visits, professional visits, and records requests, so use the correct jail channel for the task.
| Topic | Official-source detail |
|---|---|
| Scheduling | Use the current CCDC visitation page before arrival. |
| Identification | Government photo identification is expected for adult visitors. |
| Screening | Visitors are subject to security screening and denial for rule violations. |
| Children | Minors generally need adult supervision and must follow facility rules. |
| Attorney visits | Professional visits use separate jail procedures. |
Mail and Phone Records
CCDC's inmate mail page controls the current address format and restrictions. Include the inmate's full name and booking or person identifier when required. Mail can be inspected, rejected, returned, or handled through a scanning or vendor process depending on the rule in effect.
Phone service is controlled by the jail's published phone-service page. Inmates generally cannot receive normal incoming calls. Family emergencies should follow the jail's listed procedure, not a housing-unit phone call.
Clark County Inmate Funds
The CCDC inmate funds page is the official place to check online deposit, kiosk, phone deposit, and commissary rules. Vendor fees, holdbacks, and posting times can change, so confirm current terms before sending money.
| Channel | Notes |
|---|---|
| Online deposits | Use only the official CCDC inmate funds page or its linked vendor. |
| Kiosk or in person | Verify lobby options before traveling. |
| Phone deposits | Use the listed vendor phone process if the page offers one. |
| Commissary | Funds may be subject to facility rules, debts, and holdbacks. |
Note: Confirm the inmate is still in Clark County custody before sending funds, mail, or visit requests.
